On college campuses across the country, the great, foundational works of the Western canon are taught through a progressive lens or worse, not taught at all. Conservative students are searching for something they haven’t had access to in class: they’re craving an educational experience grounded in truth, goodness, and beauty.
ISI offers these students a rigorous but rewarding alternative, and interest is growing rapidly.
Take Georgetown University as an example.
In the fall of 2025, Georgetown senior Christian established an ISI chapter. He and his friends wanted to create an environment where they could study culture, political philosophy, and theology through a conservative lens. They recruited more interested students and had a successful first semester, with several guest lectures, reading groups, and group outings to plays, operas, and symphonies.
They didn’t anticipate, however, the number of students who were interested in joining their group.
By December, Christian was turning away students from weekly dinner and book discussions because their event venues were at capacity.
At the start of the spring semester, Christian drafted an ambitious but thoughtful budget and sent it to ISI. The proposal included ten guest lectures, four trips to concerts, plays, and ballets, weekly dinners and book discussions, and even a chapter-sponsored gala. They envisioned a rich semester with increased student involvement, establishing a serious conservative presence on Georgetown’s campus.
But ISI couldn’t fully fund the plan and asked the chapter to cut it in half. Their impact was significantly reduced.
The story at Georgetown isn’t unique. Across the country, conservative students are asking for more than their universities are offering. They’re ready to lead and build, but we don’t have the resources to fully support them.
To meet this need, we’re raising $40,000 for our Conservative Campus Programs Fund and the staffing that supports our educational programs.
A generous donor has put that goal within reach. They've issued a $20,000 matching challenge: every dollar you give between now and July 4th will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $20,000. That means your gift doubles in impact, but only if we raise our half.
Your donation funds transformational learning experiences that will shape ISI students for life. Your gift will fund over seventy chapters, reach hundreds of students, and help establish a bold, conservative presence on campus. Your support also equips ISI to maintain the staff needed to connect with students and facilitate these life-changing experiences.
Ambitious conservative students are already on key campuses today, and their presence is growing. With your support, we can say yes to these students and help transform their education.
As we approach the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, this is your opportunity to invest in the next generation of leaders to renew America. You play a crucial role in preserving conservative thought, fostering on-campus community, and reclaiming higher education.
Planning for the Fall 2026 semester is already underway, and you can contribute to the necessary funding for this academic year. Will you help ensure no student is turned away this fall?
